Dr. Timothy Verwest - Pediatric Dentistry of Fort Myers

One, a medical record system upgrade to a new version that required both new server and workstation hardware with very specific hardware needs. Two, a new locale build out of a new, state of the art location in Fort Myers FL. 

Location - Fort Myers, FL. Verwest's prior location that he had occupied for 20+ years housed the old EMR system and out of date workstations. They were in the process of building a new facility 3 miles away. It was a new style of Dentist office with large animated characters, gaming consoles and several unique play areas all centered around his patients: children and teenagers. 

Timeframe - 10 months

  • Dr Verwest knew he needed a complete team of technology professionals from Project Managers, to Design Engineers, to installation engineers to achieve the goals he had set for his system upgrades and new location.
  • After Verwest engaged the team at Entech, we immediately began researching the EMR and planning the implementation months before the new building broke ground. We coordinated with cabinet vendors and the EMR solution to build the systems and local hardware to match the needs. Once the building construction began, our PM ran point for all tech related vendors for cabling, cabinet installation and server and workstation implementation. 
  • We utilized high level engineering in conjunction with vendor interaction to design the system. We implemented with project managers and project engineers a sophisticated and integrated imaging and patient management system. Managed services was implemented once the new system was in place to provide proper management, strategy, and ongoing support to the Dr and his staff.
  • The final result was a flawless implementation of a new EMR system, new specialized clinical workstations, new administrative workstations, high speed network equipment, wireless throughout the facility, and a complete managed services partnership for ongoing management.

We came from a hodge-podge combination of computers, battery backups and a temperamental server that we used as a workstation.  We graduated to a much more sophisticated sytem, with security and backup that is reliable.  We now have the support real-time for big issues and the help of the team for smaller issues through remote.  The turnaround time on problems and issues is much quicker-which gets the staff back to working at higher productivity.  It is also comforting to have the technical resource for any and all issues and questions that we might have for any aspect of our business.  From Social media to Xboxes and imaging issues.  Even questions regarding emails and programs.  I have to say that it is also nice to work with such a friendly group- I haven’t had one phone call when Entech staff were rude or not helpful.  That says a lot- I speak with dozens of companies and businesses on a daily basis and I never dread getting you guys on the line- always pleasant and friendly!
