Entech expands with acquisition of United Systems

Hyper-focus on customer service makes the two teams a natural fit.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 22, 2015)—Jake Spanberger, President of Entech Computer Services, a 17-year-old Fort Myers-based IT consulting and solutions company, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Bradenton-based United Systems Computer Group. In addition to remotely serving clients nationwide, Entech’s immediate onsite service area will now extend from the Tampa Bay area south to Marco Island.

United Systems 13 member team will merge with Entech’s 16 experienced engineers, administrators, advisors and strategists, representing a synergy of talent, infrastructure and services that is expected to benefit existing and new customers of both companies. United Systems CEO David Spire will maintain an ownership interest in Entech and help drive future growth as Chief Development Officer & Senior Executive Vice President.  They also plan to add several more jobs in the immediate future.

As part of its overall growth strategy, Entech contracted with a third-party service to conduct a regional search to identify companies that would be good acquisition candidates for merging personnel and systems. A compatible business culture was heavily weighted in the provider’s due diligence, based on Entech’s parameters, along with many factors related to technical expertise and systems compatibility. The company conducted an extensive survey of every qualifying company’s client base, and out of hundreds of candidates, United Systems garnered the highest customer satisfaction scores ever recorded, according to the vetting company.

The ensuing talks between Entech and United Systems confirmed the two entities shared an extreme focus on customer service and that their business aspirations could best be achieved by pooling their respective technical strengths and world-class personnel

Entech was founded in 1998 by Martin Haas. Spanberger partnered with Haas in 2001 and, along with Chief Operating Officer, Buddy Martin, and multiple dedicated employees, has been fundamental in the company’s growth. When Spanberger took the reins upon Haas’ retirement two years ago, he knew their mission of growth would always keep with the company’s long-held adherence to the principles of The Golden Rule. It is in that spirit that Entech has become ranked in the top 5% nationally for response and resolution time. United Systems has likewise built a solid reputation in its service area for response time matched with their extraordinary client satisfaction scores

The synergy between the two companies start with their company culture and their dedication to their employees and clients.   It extends to the awards and accolades they’ve received.  Both were recognized on this year’s MSPmentor 501 Global Edition, which identifies the world’s top managed service providers (MSPs).  Both have also been honored with the distinction of Small Business of the Year by their respective Chambers of Commerce.  United Systems won for the Manatee Chamber of Commerce in 2011 while Entech was honored most recently this June by the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce.  The awards honor companies for their dedication, achievement, entrepreneurial spirit and community involvement.

United Systems brings an enhanced array of security solutions to Entech’s already robust systems and offerings, and even boasts a Certified Ethical Hacker certification. In addition, United Systems represents additional opportunities to better serve clients in the medical field, with their security knowledge in regards to HIPAA compliance. United also adds additional services to Entech’s extensive cloud offerings

Spanberger said, “In developing our long-term strategic plan of growth through mergers and acquisition, we considered our clients’ and employees’ needs and goals to be our top priority. Our exhaustive search ended with United Systems. We couldn’t have imagined a better fit between the two companies in terms of resources and company culture.”

United Systems CEO David Spire said, “Following a period of rapid growth over the past few years, it is a natural next step to merge United Systems’ considerable assets, in terms of technology and personnel, with Entech. With our gains in revenue, infrastructure and employees, we have received numerous offers for partnerships and purchase of our company. Entech’s unique focus on business ethics and culture, which includes a stellar customer service record, made them a natural fit for us.

Entech remains committed to helping businesses find IT solutions that enable them to grow and thrive.
