When I began my career in IT, and then later when I started working for Entech, I had no intention of moving into a management role. As I started to learn more about the business and how IT can be leveraged operationally to grow businesses, I realized there were opportunities to grow and expand my understanding of IT outside of the traditional “techy” stereotype and become a true leader.
Leadership means more to me than being a “manager” and being a leader in IT means more than just understanding the technology. On a day-to-day basis, I use my technical and operational skills to help others. More than anything though, my desire to teach others gave me the opportunity to help both our clients and our employees to utilize technology as a driver for business growth, instead of just an expense.
