Lexington Country Club is one of SWFL's largest and most respected golf clubs.

Employees - 70

Location - Fort Myers, Florida

The Why

Lexington Country Club is among the premier Golf and Country Club communities in Southwest Florida.

With an 18-hole championship golf course, state of the art fitness center, beautiful main clubhouse and 6 swimming pools, residents of this club have high expectations when it comes to service and amenities.

Entech was engaged as the club's leadership was looking for a more strategic technology approach in conjunction with their renovation. They lacked project management, IT support and a reliable network. Entech was engaged to provide a deep-dive assessment of their existing systems and began work renovating their business technology.

A few of the most glaring issues:

  • Backup system was antiquated and not adequate for even the most basic of recovery tasks
  • Long term strategy with regard to technology planning was lacking and the club needed a project manager to design the technology infrastructure for smooth implementation.
  • IT Support structure was disorganized and overcomplicated for the environment.
  • Servers were disorganized and overcomplicated. External buildings had too many connections to the main clubhouse and the connections were inconsistent at best.
  • Backup system was antiquated and not adequate for even the most basic of recovery tasks.
  • Phone system was outdated and didn't suit the needs of the club.

The How

From the start, the implementation of Entech's Best Practices set a new baseline for the system.

The Highlights:

  • Support requests are now answered within 15 minutes of submission and resolved within an hour on average.
  • Project plans for stabalizing network infrastructure were designed and implemented.
  • Entech became part of the full renovation planning process, working with the club to integrate fresh server equipment and rebuild the infrastructure along with the building renovations to ensure maximum reliability during peak times.
  • Entech's Strategy Manager handled all technology related aspects of the renovation project as well as all technology related vendors, including audio/video, cabling and internet service providers.
  • A new, managed offsite backup system was implemented to ensure all data was protected from localized and natural disasters with full copies of the servers offsite in a secure facility.

The Outcome

Lexington was able to complete their Golf Club renovations and plan their technology improvements at the same time. By rebuilding the infrastructure along with the improvements, Entech guaranteed a suitable, reliable new network infrastructure to help give members and employees the connectivity they deserve.

Here are just a few of the perks:

  • Short and long term IT strategy and budget planning.
  • Significantly improved member experience.
  • Stable, speedy infrastructure that allows both members and employees to connect without issue.
  • Reliable access to import files, applications and POS systems.
  • Secure environment that meets standards for all applicable policies.

What does Lexington have to say about it?

“Entech is now a critical member of our team.  Quick to react to our service requests and they understand the importance of response time.  The service we receive on a daily basis is outstanding and their attention to detail is awesome!
